hans traveled to USA with his cousin Ole Saether. They left from Liverpool, England on the ship "Empress of Britian". Hans and Ole arrived in Quebeck, Canada. They entered the US from Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan on August 5, 1909. Then, on to North Dakota where the rest of the Saether cousins lived.
